WED Cleveland 2019: The Art of Entrepreneurship
Nov. 19 at 78th Street Studios smARTspace | 8:00am - 4:30pm
This year, we're celebrating the creativity and innovation that goes into entrepreneurship with our WED Cleveland 2019 theme, "The Art of Entrepreneurship."
Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Cleveland 2019
Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED) is Cleveland’s ONLY event for purpose-driven women looking to do well and do good through their work. The event is part of the global Women’s Entrepreneurship Day movement that celebrates, empowers and supports women in business to alleviate poverty created by Cleveland native Wendy Diamond.
The volunteers producing WED Cleveland have chosen to present an event that helps women become more successful while also creating positive impact through their work.
This is an event for entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, side-hustlers, dreamers and doers. WED Cleveland brings together a force of local women in business and nonprofit leadership to spark new ideas and build bridges of support and collaboration.
More than 144 countries and 110 universities around the world acknowledge and celebrate Women’s Entrepreneurship Day annually on November 19, making it the world’s largest grassroots movement dedicated to empowering women worldwide.
Lorraine Schuchart, CEO of the PR and creative services firm Prosper for Purpose, along with co-chair Lisa Sands, Publisher of Edible Cleveland, the Prosper for Purpose team, and an advisory board of dedicated supporters across a variety of sectors, launched the inaugural Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Cleveland last November. The event had more than 125 attendees, including three men.
